Notes and Links relating to “13th”     

There will be a discussion of “13th”  Monday June 12 at 7 PM at the Boone Home (4th Street) next to Second Baptist Church (in Columbia,  Mo). Below are links to related background information.

The documentary “13” is about the incarceration of African-Americans after the adoption of the 13th Amendment that prohibited slavery except as punishment for crime. Directed by Ava DuVernay, who directed “Selma,” released on Netflix in October 2016.
